Paper Covered Aluminum Wire

Paper-covered wire is a winding wire made of bare copper round rod, bare copper flat wire and enamelled flat wire wrapped by specific insulating materials.

The combined wire is a winding wire which is arranged in accordance with the specified requirements and wrapped by a specific insulating material.

Paper-covered wire and combined wire are important raw materials for manufacturing transformer windings.

It is mainly used in the winding of oil-immersed transformer and reactor.

Quality Requirements

The paper tape should be tightly, evenly and smoothly wound on the conductor, without lack of layer, without wrinkling and cracking, the overlap of the paper tape shall not be exposed to the seam, the paper tape joint and insulation repair place allow thick insulation layer, but the length cannot be greater than 500mm.

Conductor Material

● Aluminum,the regulation in accordance with GB5584.3-85, the electric resistivity at 20°C is lower than 0.02801Ω. mm/m.

● Copper, the regulation in accordance with GB5584.2-85, the electric resistivity at 20°C is lower than 0.017240.mm/m.

Advantage of Nomex Paper-insulated Wire

It's most suitable for the application on the coil winding from traction transformer, electrical substation, furnace transformer and various oil-filled transformer and dry type transformer.

Cost down, reduce the dimension and lighten the weight

Compared with traditional wire,once the dry type transformer equipped with NOMEX,the working temperature can be lifted to 150 C. The general dimension of transformer is reduced and the weight is lightened.
